Stuffed Bears

Stuffed bears comprise the largest segment of the plush creature market. All in all these little ones are the epitome of cuteness and mass production. Due to the synthesized polyester materials used in the process, they are the highlight of production enterprises as they are produced en masse in macro scale factories around the world. Of course this is not always the case as companies like the Build-A-Bear Workshop and the Vermont Bear Company attempt to battle for niche capacity in the customized bear market. These companies attempt to harness a child’s capacity to identify with the small creature and make exactly what they’re thinking of or what they might be prone to associating with.

The stuffed bear market runs on the premise of soft, cute, and comfortable. There are billion variations on the standard bear that Teddy Roosevelt cleared in the early 1900s, but there are some themes worth noting. If attempting to be accurate to the animal, the bears are brown, black, and white sometimes for grizzly bears or panda bears. The bears have softer or button noses and eyes and hands and arms. Depending on the filler material the bear will either be prone to a rigid setup where the form is set in stuffing stone or the malleable stuffing that allows the bears arms and hands to be move and manipulated. The latter will gain more traction with children as they enjoy playing with the stuffed bears.
